Well, we just got back from Dragon*Con 2004 and it was an absolute blast!!!! I taught many panels and was co-announcer with Kelly Lockhart for the robot battles. When I wasn't in panel I had the opportunity to walk around with my wife and enjoy some of the most incredible costumes that I have ever seen. Then the evening came along with many more costumes (and a decent amount of frosty malt beverage *wink wink*) and the real fun began. I have over four hundred pictures here that my wife and I took over the four days of the event (be warned that some of these pictures are PG-13). We wanted to bring our reaper robes that we used at BattleBots but we couldn't find them. I guess it is all as well as we were woefully unprepared for the level of costuming at this event. So, after all that we saw my wife and I are planning on joining the 501st. It's going to be a new experience building costumes instead of robots but I think we'll manage with the help of some the great friends that we made this past weekend.

My deepest thanks goes out to Simon Arthur and the Dragon*Con organizers for inviting us out to experience the best con that I have EVER attended (that includes Mega Con in Orlando and Comic Con in Dallas). I hope that I get invited back next year to teach some advanced robotics panels along with other cool interactive goodies.

To everyone that we met: Thank for an awesome weekend! and to those that we didn't get the honor to meet we hope to hang out and share a brew next year!
