I'll be out of town for the next few days because I am heading North for the RFL Triangle Nationals!!! This is the culmination of a years worth of competitions form around the country to get to the championship. I will also be working with the Minnesota Manufacuring Education Resource on Thursday to educate and encourage students to pursue careers in engineering and manufacturing by using robotics as a medium for learning.

Then Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be the championships to determine the baddest bots in the land. I am lucky enough to be front and center as the announcer with my good friend Roy "Bot Gladiator" Hellen.

The work on Moebius continues. Moebius is being rebuilt at the University of Central Florida SAE Machine Shop. What a great workshop! Everything that you could possibly want to machine and fabricate. Which is a good thing because the UCF SAE organization is a consistent force to be reckoned with in the Mini Baja and Formula national competition. This season is no different and I am on the Formula Suspension Team.

To learn more about the UCF SAE organization you can head over to thier website at www.ucfmotorsports.com

WOW, what a great first set of shows to kick off the second season of Robot Rivals. I can't really say too much about them other than one of the bots was deemed too dangerous and was forced to change for the safety of the teams and the film crew. Gee, I wonder whose bot that was :-)

The send season should hit the airwaves sometime in January, I think. Trust me, the bots are awesome and the quality of bots is much improved thanks to some of our new sponsors. You can head over to the Robot Rivals web forum to talk more about it.

It seems that the first season of Robot Rivals was a bigger hit than we thought because it was signed on for a second season! We start filming tomorrow with all new colleges competing. I can't wait!
