I must apologize to everyone who has been keeping track of Moebius for the lack of updates for the last couple of months. School has been hectic and I have been working on many projects in the mean time. One of the projects that I have been working on is a trebuchet for one of my college classes. I just put a build report of the trebuchet online and some video as well. It was hurling five pound melons over the length of a football field.

I just got my cool Robosapien robot! Alexia preorded it a couple of months ago. I can't wait to start hacking into him to see what I can make him do :-) Because he speaks 'caveman' we decided to name him Gorak (SouthPark fans will recognize the name).

He does true walking, not the interlaced feet that old walking toys use, arms that are hinged at the shoulder and elbow, and he walked by shifting his weight and moving his legs forward or backwards just like a real person would.

You can see him working in this video from the manufacturer's website. Lot's of attitude and lot's of fun! My students are sure to get a kick out of him.
